Celebrating Ten Years of the GBV Prevention Network!

Hot off the press! In honor of the Network’s 10th Anniversary, our publications are receiving a fresh start. First off the press is a member spotlight book that focuses on the Network’s core implementation themes to increase the momentum of violence against women prevention work in the region – shared analysis, solidarity, and collective action. The publication features a diverse range of members and the dynamic work they do across these three themes.  Please look out for this and other exciting publications about our members this year. Network Participates in the 57th CSW

During this year’s Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York, the Network, with member organizations ISIS-WICCE, MEMPROW, and Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA-Uganda) conducted a parallel session on increasing momentum for work that addresses violence against women in the region. The session was held on March 13, 2013 with many members and friends in attendance. Members discussed and provided suggestions for taking the Network’s three themes forward. Download a video here that explains the three themes in detail.

Traveling from our Heads to our Hearts

Traveling from our Heads to our Hearts

Traveling from our Heads to our Hearts, the Network Retreat held in Entebbe in July, was a rare gift. It gave us the opportunity to get away from our desks and put our hearts back into violence prevention. It opened rich discussions enabling us to reunite with the passion, commitment and beliefs that fuel our struggle for social justice. Click here and follow the pages of the Retreat Scrapbook to relive the journey from our heads to our hearts.
