The benefits of membership include:
- Opportunities to highlight your own innovative work on GBV prevention on the website, in the e-bulletin, Network publications, the newsletter, etc.
- Opportunities to meet, connect and share with other activists and practitioners in various national and regional forums on GBV prevention.
- Opportunities to learn and share through discussions and exchanges with other Network members.
- Receiving materials and resources (electronic and print) produced by the GBV Prevention Network and its members.
- Receiving up-to-date information and resources regarding GBV Prevention in the region and globally.
An active network needs active members! To maintain active membership status, members must accept the following responsibilities:
- Communicating with your Focal NGO at least four times during the year (once per quarter) and keeping them updated on your current contact information and activities.
- Communicating with the Network secretariat via phone, email or post at least twice during the year.
- Sending in at least one electronic resource to post on the website, or one piece for the newsletter, once during the year.
- Being a champion of the Network by talking about it in the different forums and meetings you or your organization attend. Give at least one presentation per year about the Network, independently or in conjunction with your Focal NGO.
- Participating actively in the Network’s activities.
- Sharing and practicing the Network’s belief and values.
