Strengthening and extending existing community-based institutions and services is an important component of designing and implementing sustainable GBV prevention programmes. Strengthening community institutions can have a long-term influence on how the community responds to the issue of GBV. This strategy, however, requires careful assessment of the status quo and perseverance when progress seems slow despite intense investment. Sometimes the politics of the situation, as well as practical considerations, may determine which institutions to engage and if it is a productive approach for the organization.
On this page you will find some examples of Member Organization's program approaches to strengthening service delivery.
