Centre for Rights Education & Awareness (CREAW): "Bride Price- Is it Modern Day Slavery?" This report points to the practice of bride price being commercialized in different societies thus reducing the woman to the status of a chattel for bargain. The report calls for deep reflection on the institution of bride price whilst also seeking a radical reform of the same to protect the women’s human rights. Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association (EWLA): "National Study on the Situation of Women Prisoners, 2008." The report presents the situation of women prisoners in Ethiopia from a legal, sociological, and psychological and gender points of view and provides recommendations in respect of these factors. The report examines the threat of married women with longer sentences facing a difficult life after their sentences with no home, no property, no social capital and no respect and recognition. Equality Now: "SOAWR Campaign Update". A quarterly update on campaigns towards popularization, ratification, domestication and implementation of the Protocol on the Rights of Women in Africa. It reports on work done during January to March 2008 and includes information on the status of ratification and upcoming events that could offer opportunities for further action towards the objectives of the campaign. Liverpool VCT: 'Trainer’s Manual for Rape Trauma Counselors in Kenya 2007", Ministry of Health Kenya with support from Liverpool VCT and UNFPA. The manual sets standards for delivering counseling services to the survivors of sexual violence.
